Description

Learn to understand what is happening to your body in its peri-post menopausal phase and how to look after yourself, stay strong, sharp, fast and mobile in mid-life and beyond.

Each week will cover a key topic area and will include a combination of discussion and physical activity, nutritional guidance and ending with a gentle relaxation.

Week 1 - The Foundations

An introduction to the course and what it aims to deliver. An overview and discussion about menopause and the symptoms associated with it

Week 2 - Musculoskeletal Health

Exploring bone and muscle loss. How to build and maintain bone density and muscle mass

Week 3 - Heart Health

The role of cardiovascular training for heart and metabolic health. How much and how often? And at what intensity?

Week 4 - Cognitive Health

How to build and maintain mental acuity. Be prepared for some fun and games in this session!

Week 5 - Self Care

Self care explored. What we can do to look after ourselves and how we can feel better as a result

Week 6 - The Whole Package

Putting it all together - a recap of the previous 5 weeks, Q&As and a fun-packed class of whole body movement
