The 3 Cs of Core

This is workshop 1 of 3 targeting your core muscles to provide support and strength. After each workshop, exercises will be given to you in a hand out to take home and practise. You should also feel more capable of confidently taking part in core specific classes.



How to utilise your core: You will be educated on the 5 areas of your core, rectus abdominus, obliques, erector spinae, transverse abdominus and quadratus lumborum. With this knowledge you will learn activation exercises to get the core functioning correctly from all angles.



If you are someone who struggles with hip, neck or back aches during core exercises then this workshop is perfect for you. We will be focussing on correcting commonly made postural mistakes during core exercises as well as everyday movements. You will learn how to simply activate your core to not only help you with strengthening your core through exercise but also to move more safely and efficiently on a day to day basis.



Time to connect the dots. Our final workshop will draw on our new found physical and mental knowledge on the core to take you through an array exercises. We will recap muscles and activation exercises and then you will be lead through a typical core class. With your experience from the previous workshops you will be able to correctly activate the muscles in your core, adapt given exercises to best suit your ability and in turn, experience a successful core workout.
